The brief
The architect had drawn a form that no manufacturer produced, in a void with no maintenance access designed into it.
Our approach
We prototyped a full-scale section at the fabricator before committing, resolving thermal and structural questions at model scale. Access was solved with a distributed winch system integrated into the roof structure during construction.
The outcome
Installed to the architect's drawing without compromise, and serviceable by two people from the atrium floor.
