A lighting practice, not a catalogue
Seven years of specifying light into Gulf buildings — and a stubborn belief that the best scheme uses the fewest fittings that achieve the intent.
We began as a supplier and became a design practice, because the questions clients kept asking could not be answered from a price list.
Adesta Lighting specializes in supplying luminaires into Dubai's residential market. Early on, a pattern became clear: the projects that turned out well were the ones where we'd been brought in before the ceiling was even drawn. So we built an in-house design and simulation studio and reshaped what the business does.
Today we work as lighting designers who also supply. That combination matters: the product that gets installed is the product that was calculated and is perfect for the space. We hold ranges of multiple manufacturers precisely so that no single factory's catalogue can shape a recommendation.
We work across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain and Kuwait, on projects from a single dining room to a high-rise tower.
Four principles we specify by
Clarity
Every figure we issue can be traced to a calculation or a datasheet. Nothing is asserted that cannot be shown.
Restraint
The best scheme uses the fewest fittings that achieve the intent. More light is almost never the answer.
Longevity
We specify for the fifteenth year of an installation, not the first. Serviceability is a design requirement.
Independence
No factory owns our recommendation. The brief decides the product.
Heat, humidity and salt air decide which products survive here. We have the failure records to know which ones do.
The houses we specify from
Manufacturers across architectural, technical and decorative lighting — selected for optical quality, dimming behaviour and how they honour a warranty.
Things clients ask first
Let us look at your drawings
Send through what you have — a floor plan, a mood board or a photograph of a room that is not working. We will tell you honestly what light can and cannot fix.
